Hot Tub Removal Service

Taking out a hot tub is four jobs: draining it, disconnecting the power, breaking it down, and hauling it away. We do all four in one visit, for one flat price that includes the fee at the transfer station.

The power is the part most movers can't do. A hardwired tub runs on a 240-volt circuit, and most movers can't legally touch it. We also run a licensed electrical business, so we disconnect it ourselves, in-house, and reconnect it at the new spot when a tub is being moved rather than removed.

What's Included

Everything Included in Our Service

Drained, disconnected, broken down and gone, with the disposal fee in the price.

Drained First

A full tub weighs over 4,000 pounds and can't be moved. The water comes out before anything else.

240V Disconnected In-House

A hardwired tub is disconnected by us, in-house, not by a second contractor.

Broken Down On Site

Cut into sections that fit through a gate, so a narrow side yard doesn't stop a removal.

Disposal Included

Hauled to the transfer station, with the fee in the flat price.

Removal & Disposal

Hot Tub Removal and Disposal

Removal is the straightforward job. A full tub weighs over 4,000 pounds, so the water comes out first. Even drained, water stays in the pumps and lines, so it's still heavy. Once the power is disconnected, we break the tub down into sections, carry them to the truck and take them to the transfer station.

  • Drained first, since a full tub can't be moved until the water is out
  • 240V disconnected in-house and the circuit made safe
  • Broken down into sections that fit through a gate or a side yard
  • Hauled to the transfer station, with the disposal fee in the flat price
  • The cover and steps go with it

How a Hot Tub Removal Goes

1

Send a photo

A photo of the tub and one of the way out to the driveway. If you can, one of where the power runs into it.

2

Get a flat price

One number, disposal fee included, agreed before we come out.

3

Drain, disconnect, break down

Water out, the 240V disconnected in-house, the tub cut into sections.

4

Hauled away

Sections carried to the truck and taken to the transfer station.

Moving it rather than removing it? That one depends on the route. See below.

240V Disconnect & Reconnect

We Disconnect and Reconnect the 240V In-House

Most hot tubs are hardwired to a 240-volt circuit, and most movers can't legally touch that wiring. They have to book an electrician to disconnect the tub before they can move it, and another visit to reconnect it at the other end. We also run a licensed electrical business, so we do both ourselves, in-house.

Disconnected before it moves

The circuit disconnected at the tub and made safe before anything is lifted.

Reconnected at the new spot

When we move a tub, we reconnect it where it lands.

One company, one booking

The disconnect, the move and the reconnect, all handled by us.

Not sure if yours is hardwired? Send a photo of where the power runs into it and we'll tell you.

Hot Tub Moving

Hot Tub Moving and Relocation

Moving a hot tub is the premium version of the job. The tub travels whole, so it has to fit the full path from where it sits to where the truck parks. A tub is about seven feet across. Most side yards are three to four feet wide, with a gate, a meter or a tight corner somewhere along them. The tub is never the problem. The route is. That's why we need a video of the whole path before we quote.

Video of the full path

From the tub to where the truck parks: gates, corners, steps and slopes. We quote from that.

240V at both ends

Disconnected at the old spot and reconnected at the new one, in-house.

Across the yard or to a new home

Moved to a new spot on the same property, or loaded and taken to your new address.

If the route works, you'll have a flat price. If it doesn't, we'll tell you, and removal is still an option.

Cost

Hot Tub Removal and Disposal Cost

Hot tub removal is one flat price for the whole job: draining, the 240V disconnect, breaking the tub down, hauling it away, and the transfer station fee. The disposal cost is part of that price. What sets it is the size of the tub, how far it has to be carried to the truck, and how it's wired.

One flat price

Removal and disposal together, quoted from a photo, usually the same day.

What sets it

The size of the tub, the carry to the truck, and whether it's hardwired or plugs in.

Moving costs more

Relocation is priced from the path video, because the route decides the work.

Fastest Path to a Quote

Get your quote back the same day

Text us a photo of the tub, and we'll reply with a flat removal price, usually the same day. Moving it instead? Send a video of the full path.

FAQ

Hot Tub Removal Questions Answered

No, draining is the first part of the job. A full tub weighs over 4,000 pounds and can't be moved, so the water comes out before anything else. Even then, water stays in the pumps and lines, so an empty tub is still heavy.
Yes. We also run a licensed electrical business, so the 240V disconnect is done in-house. Most movers can't legally touch a hardwired tub and have to book an electrician before they can start.
Yes. We disconnect the 240V at the old spot and reconnect it at the new one, in-house.
For removal, we cut it into sections, so it leaves through a normal gate or side yard. For relocation it travels whole, which is why we need a video of the full path first.
Because the tub is never the problem, the route is. A tub is about seven feet across, and most side yards are three to four feet wide, often with a gate, a meter or a tight corner along the way. A video of the path from the tub to where the truck parks tells us whether it gets through, and how.
One flat price for the whole job: draining, the 240V disconnect, breaking it down, hauling it away and the disposal fee. It's set by the size of the tub, how far it has to be carried to the truck, and how it's wired. Send a photo of the tub and you'll have the number the same day. Call or text (425) 648-7887.
It's inside the removal price. The transfer station charges a fee to take the tub, and that fee is part of the one flat price we quote.
More than removal, because the tub travels whole and the route decides the work. We price it from the video of the path, with the 240V disconnect and reconnect included.
