Fixed TV Mounts

Fixed TV Mount Installation

A fixed mount (also called a flat mount, low-profile mount, or simply a TV bracket) holds the TV flush to the wall with no arms or moving parts. It's the mount most people already have in the box when they call us, and we install it on drywall, plaster, brick, and stone, for every TV size from small bedroom sets to 85-inch-plus screens.

  • Installs the fixed mount you already have, or one we bring that's rated for your TV's size and weight
  • Anchored into studs or rated masonry anchors, never drywall alone, and pull-tested before we hang the TV
  • Set at the height you want, leveled, with the screen sitting flush and even against the wall
  • Cables run behind a paintable raceway or cord cover, old mount removed and holes patched if you're replacing one

How a Fixed Mount Install Goes

Find the studs and mark the height

We locate the studs, confirm what's behind the wall, and mark the bracket so the center of the screen lands where you'll actually watch it from.

Anchor the bracket

Lag bolts into the studs, or rated anchors on brick and stone. We level the bracket and load-test it before the TV goes anywhere near it.

Hang and lock the TV

Two people on anything big. The TV goes onto the bracket, the safety locks are set, and we check the screen is flush and even.

Cables and cleanup

Cables tucked into a raceway or cord cover, everything plugged in and tested, dust vacuumed, and the packaging taken out if you want it gone.

Have your TV size, the mount (if you bought one), and the wall type ready when you call or text and we can quote it on the spot.

Yes, that's most of the fixed mount jobs we do. Any fixed mount rated for your TV's size and weight works. If you don't have one yet, we can bring one that fits your TV, just tell us the size and model when you text or call.

Most fixed mount installs on drywall take about an hour, including hiding the cables. Brick, stone, or above-fireplace installs run a bit longer. Screens 75 inches and up get a two-person lift so the panel is never stressed.

Yes. We mount TVs from any store, Costco, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, or wherever you bought it, and you don't need the store's install package. Have the TV at home, text us the size and wall type, and we'll get it on the wall.

No. Any TV from any store can be mounted by whoever you choose. We mount TVs bought at Costco, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Target every week, including the bundled mounts that come with them, and it has no effect on the TV's warranty or protection plan.

Yes. Bracket, mount, wall mount, wall bracket, it's all the same job: a steel plate bolted into the studs and a matching plate on the back of the TV. Bring the bracket you have, whether it came bundled with the TV or you bought it separately, and we'll install it. If it isn't rated for your TV we'll tell you before we drill.

Often, yes. If you call or text before noon and the schedule has room, we can usually be there the same day or the next; otherwise it's within a few days. We'll tell you straight away which it is. Most TV mounting jobs take about an hour, so a same-day slot is easier to find than for a big assembly job.

Above a gas or electric fireplace, yes. Above a wood-burning fireplace we check the wall temperature and the mantel first, because heat rising past the mantel damages a screen over time. Send a photo of the fireplace wall and we tell you before booking.

Brick and concrete block, yes, with masonry anchors rated for the TV. Tile, marble and natural stone need a look first, because they crack without the right drilling. Send a photo and we tell you what is possible on that wall.

Yes. Metal studs will not hold lag bolts, so we use toggle anchors rated for the TV's weight instead. Run a fridge magnet down the wall: if it sticks in a line, tell us the studs are metal and we bring the right anchors.

Usually, yes. A mount with a wide wall plate reaches the studs on either side, and a few inches of offset can be absorbed by the arm on a full-motion mount. Tell us whether the TV has to be exactly centered or a little off is fine, and we pick the mount that does it.

The cables run down the wall inside a paintable raceway to the nearest outlet, which is the clean option that needs no wiring. A new outlet behind the TV is licensed electrician work. Tell us which you want and we plan the mount around it.

Yes. The Frame's One Connect box needs a place to sit and its cable has a fixed length, so we plan where the box lives before drilling. Tell us the model and we bring the right setup.

Yes. Most leases allow it, and when you move out we take the TV down, bag the mount hardware and patch the holes so the wall is ready for inspection.
