Appliance Removal Service

An old fridge or washer is heavy, awkward and too big for the garbage can. We carry it out of the kitchen, laundry room or basement, load it, and take it away in one visit, for one flat price that includes the disposal fee.

Fridges, freezers and air conditioners hold refrigerant, so they go to a site that recovers it instead of out with the regular garbage. Everything else goes to a metal recycler or the transfer station.

Removal & Haul Away

Appliance Removal and Haul Away

Most appliances weigh 100 to 300 pounds and have nothing good to hold on to. We strap them to an appliance dolly, take them out the way that keeps your floors and door frames safe, and load them in the same visit.

  • Fridges and freezers, once you’ve emptied them
  • Washers and dryers unplugged and taken out of the laundry room
  • Stoves and ranges pulled out and carried to the truck
  • Taken to recycling or the transfer station, with the fee in the price
  • Old furniture can go on the same trip

How an Appliance Removal Goes

1

Send a photo

A photo of each appliance and where it is: which floor, and any stairs on the way out.

2

Get a flat price

One number, disposal fee included, agreed before we come out.

3

Carried out

Unplugged, strapped to a dolly and carried out to the truck.

4

Hauled away

To a metal recycler or the transfer station, fridges where the refrigerant is recovered.

Gas dryer or gas stove? Have the gas shut off and the line disconnected before we arrive.

Before We Arrive

Getting the Appliance Ready

Three things make an appliance removal quick. Each takes a few minutes and saves a second visit. Our crews don’t disconnect gas or water lines, so those need to be done first.

Fridge or freezer emptied

Food out, and the ice maker’s water line shut off and disconnected.

Gas and water disconnected

Gas off and the line disconnected for gas dryers and stoves. Water off and disconnected for washers and dishwashers.

A clear path out

Room to get a dolly from the appliance to the door, with anything fragile moved out of the way.

Not sure how yours is connected? Send a photo of the back of the appliance and we’ll tell you what needs doing.

Cost

Appliance Removal Cost

Appliance removal is one flat price for the whole job: the carry-out, the haul, and the recycling or transfer station fee. What sets it is how many appliances there are, what kind they are, and how far they have to be carried to the truck.

One flat price

Removal and disposal together, quoted from a photo, usually the same day.

What sets it

How many, which kind, the stairs and the carry to the truck.

Fridges carry a fee

Appliances with refrigerant have their own disposal fee at the transfer station. It’s in the price we quote.
