Because moving in Whatcom County has... unique challenges.
Do you go to Lummi Island or the San Juans?
Yes. We handle the ferry logistics, reservations, and wait times. Note that ferry fees are added to the final invoice, and we recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance for island moves to ensure we get the commercial vehicle reservation.
I'm moving between Seattle and Bellingham. Is that "Long Distance"?
It's what we call an "Intrastate Move." Because we have hubs in both areas, we can often do this more affordably than other companies. We usually charge a flat travel fee plus the hourly labor rate.
What if it snows on moving day in Sudden Valley?
Sudden Valley (and the Chuckanut area) can get sketchy in winter. Our trucks carry heavy-duty chains. However, if your driveway is a sheet of ice on a 20% grade, we may need to use a "shuttle vehicle" or reschedule for safety. We communicate this days in advance.
Can you get a piano up my narrow Victorian stairs?
We love the Lettered Streets, but those stairs are tight! We move upright pianos daily. Grand pianos and upstairs moves require a specific consultation (and photos) to ensure we can turn the corners safely without damaging your vintage woodwork.
