Last Minute Movers — FAQ

How last minute can you book a move?

Often the same week, and sometimes the next day, depending on which crews are already committed. Last minute moves are a normal part of our schedule rather than an exception, so it is always worth asking. Send the quote form or call and we will tell you straight away what is actually open.

Do last minute movers charge extra for short notice?

We do not. There is no rush fee, no short-notice surcharge, and no premium for booking late. A last minute move is billed at exactly the same rates as a move booked six weeks out — $140/hr for a 2-man crew, $200/hr for 3, $290/hr for 4, with a 3-hour minimum and a truck and equipment fee of $120 up to a 2-bedroom or $160 for a 3-bedroom and larger.

What do you need from me to book a last minute move?

Three things: the date, roughly what size the home is, and both addresses. That is enough for a firm price. A $100 refundable deposit then holds the crew and comes straight off your final bill.

Can a last minute moving company still be licensed and insured?

Ours is. Next Phase Moving is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington under USDOT 4454165, with background-checked crews and our own trucks. Booking on short notice does not mean settling for whoever answers the phone.

Which areas do you cover for last minute movers?

Seattle, the Eastside, South King County, Snohomish County, Tacoma, Olympia, and the greater Puget Sound. If you are not sure whether you are inside our area, ask — we will tell you honestly rather than waste your time.
