Bunk Bed Assembly Service

A bunk bed has more bolts than anything else in a kid's room, and someone sleeps six feet up on it. It has to be built square so the top bunk doesn't rock, every guard rail and the ladder bolted in the right order, and the frame anchored to the wall where the manual calls for it. We build bunk beds every week as part of moving families, so a build that eats a Saturday takes us about two hours.

Wood and metal bunks from IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, Ashley, Costco, Pottery Barn Kids, and Max & Lily, loft beds with desks and dressers underneath, triple bunks, and bunks with stairs, drawers, and trundles. Built in the room it's staying in, mattresses on, cardboard gone.

What's Included

Everything Included in Our Service

Built in the room, every rail tight, anchored, and ready for bedtime.

Built in the Room

Bunks don't fit through doors once they're built. We assemble in the bedroom it's staying in, in the corner it's staying in.

Every Rail and Ladder Tight

Guard rails, ladder or stairs, and slats bolted in sequence and re-checked once the frame is loaded.

Anchored to the Wall

Straps or brackets into the studs wherever the manufacturer calls for it, and whenever you ask.

Box & Packaging Removal

All the cardboard, foam, and plastic leaves with us. You get the bed, not the mess.

How a Bunk Bed Assembly Visit Goes

1

Tell us the bunk

Product name or link, and whether it's going against a wall or in a corner. A photo of the box labels works.

2

One flat price

You get the price before we come out. One price for the whole build, not an hourly clock.

3

Built square in the room

Frame assembled in the bedroom, bolts torqued in the manual's order, rails and ladder fitted, then anchored.

4

Mattresses on, boxes gone

Slats checked, mattresses set, the frame pushed into place, packaging leaves with us.

Boxes already in the bedroom? Text us the model now and we can usually give you a date and a price today.

Loft Beds

Loft Bed Assembly

A loft bed is a bunk without the bottom bunk, which means the frame carries the load on four posts and whatever's underneath has to fit exactly. We build the desk, dresser, or shelving first, then the loft over it, level and anchored.

Loft with desk

Desk, hutch, and shelves built and placed under the loft, cable holes lined up.

Loft with storage

Dressers and bookcases assembled and fitted under the loft as the manual lays them out.

Low and mid lofts

Toddler and mid-height lofts with slides, tents, and ladders.

Send the product link and the ceiling height and we'll confirm it fits and quote it.

Existing Bunks

Bunk Bed Disassembly, Moves, and Splitting

Already own the bunk? We take it apart for a move, hardware bagged and labeled, and rebuild it at the new house. When the kids outgrow sharing, we split a convertible bunk into two beds.

Take-down for a move

Disassembled in the order that keeps the wood and the bolt holes intact, hardware bagged.

Rebuild at the new house

Set up in the new room, bolts torqued, rails and ladder fitted, anchored again.

Split into two singles

Convertible bunks separated into two beds, guard rails and ladder stored.

Tell us the model and where it's going and we'll quote it on the spot.

Fastest Path to a Quote

Get your quote back the same day

Tell us which bunk bed you have and which room it's going in, and we'll reply with an exact flat price, usually the same day.

FAQ

Bunk Bed Assembly Questions Answered

About two hours for a standard twin-over-twin or twin-over-full. Bunks with stairs, drawers, or a desk underneath run two to three hours.
Yes, wherever the manufacturer calls for it and whenever you ask. Straps or brackets into the studs.
Yes. We build it in the room, in the spot it's staying, and we check the ceiling height for the top bunk first; most bunks want about an 8-foot ceiling.
IKEA (KURA, VITVAL, TUFFING, SMÅSTAD), Max & Lily, DHP, Walker Edison, Ashley, Wayfair, Amazon, Costco, and Pottery Barn Kids, and any other brand that ships in a box.
Yes, both of them, and we check the slat spacing and the mattress height against the guard rail first.
Yes. Disassembled, hardware bagged and labeled, moved, and rebuilt and re-anchored in the new room.
If it's a convertible bunk, yes. We take it down and set it up as two separate beds, with the guard rails and ladder stored.
A bunk bed is a large build on our price page at $189, with extra items in the same visit from $39. Bunks with stairs, storage, or a loft desk are quoted the same day from the model. See the full price list.
