Furniture Disassembly — FAQ

Do you put the furniture back together?

Yes — reassembly at the destination is part of the service unless you tell us otherwise. Beds go back together sleep-ready, wardrobes standing and aligned, tables level. You are never left with a pile of panels and a bag of bolts.

How do you keep track of all the hardware?

Every piece gets its own labelled bag, taped directly to the furniture it belongs to. The crew that takes it apart notes anything unusual, so the rebuild is exact rather than guesswork.

What if the item still will not fit through the door?

Then we hoist it. We run a dedicated furniture hoisting service using material lifts and rigging to bring pieces in through balconies and windows when the stairwell says no. Same crew, same appointment.

Can you do disassembly only?

Yes. Choose that option on the form and we will take the piece apart, bag the hardware and leave it ready for you or another mover to transport.

Do you disassemble exercise equipment?

Yes — treadmills, racks, multi-gyms and rowers. These often have to come apart to get out of a basement or spare room, and we can rebuild them at the new address.

Will taking it apart damage the furniture?

Flat-pack furniture does weaken slightly each time it is dismantled and rebuilt, which is simply the nature of cam-lock construction. We work carefully to avoid stripping fixings, and we will tell you honestly if a piece looks too fragile to survive the trip.

Do you disassemble IKEA wardrobes?

Yes, PAX systems included. They almost never fit through a doorway assembled, so taking them apart is usually the only realistic way to move them.
